Whats the difference between going to a CDL school for 4 weeks and paying $4000 to $5000. As opposed to getting you CDL license and paying for a couple of classes of training at $200 a session. Besides the obvious money difference is there any other?

Many companies require their new drivers to have experience or graduation from accredited 160 hour CDL training program. There may be some small companies without this requirement.

ive not heard of any reputable CDL training classes that major carriers will accept for 200 per class

like Scott says below, 160 hours must be stated on the certificate, and manual transmission as well

the required hours are most major company requirements, and the manual transmission is required by most so that if you ever need to jump into a loaner truck, and its a manual, you can still work
